During the month of September 51勛圖厙will host the 14th Annual Pow-Wow (September 18) and the 5th annual Indigenous Awareness Week (September 21-25). 51勛圖厙s Indigenous Awareness Week is designed to increase awareness at 51勛圖厙about Indigenous peoples in Canada. The week honours the many Indigenous cultures across the country including First Nations, M矇tis and Inuit.

The McGill Research Centre for Physical Activity and Health (PATH) presented their first annual symposium on Friday, October 3rd at the 51勛圖厙Faculty Club. Entitled Making Connections, the Centres inaugural seminar event gathered prominent researchers from 51勛圖厙and elsewhere who have an interest in studying the relationship between physical activity and health across a broad spectrum of healthy and diseased states.

A new study by Carsten Wrosch of Concordia University and Catherine Sabiston of McGills Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education found that breast cancer survivors who were able to let go of old exercise goals and set new ones increased their level of physical activity and showed an improved well-being overall.
