Please note that due to the STM strike, the Information Desk at the Humanities and Social Sciences Library (McLennan Library Building, lobby) will close early at 5:30 p.m.ڰdz Monday, June 9 to Wednesday, June 11. DISE Professors Philip S. S. Howard (Principal Investigator) and Nanre Nafziger (Co-investigator) and Faculty of Education Liaison Librarian, Sharon Rankin (Co-investigator) and Co-investigators, Professors Tya Collins and Lerona Dana Lewis of the University of Ottawa, have received a grant from the Harvard Graduate School of Education Black Teacher Archive program.

Beginning May 12, construction will take place at the Macdonald Campus Library to address persistent condensation and leaking caused by inadequate insulation in parts of the building’s ventilation system. To carry out this work safely, special precautions are necessary due to the presence of asbestos in the Barton Building. A Sealed Access System (SAS), which allows construction work to be enclosed and contained, will be positioned throughout various library spaces over the course of the project.

Please be advised there will be a ventilation shutdown at the McLennan Library Building and at the Redpath Library Building on Tuesday April 15 until Thursday April 17 which will run each day from 7h00 until 15h00 and will affect both buildings.This shutdown is necessary to repair the ventilation pipes in the building. Fresh air will flow in both buildings. Please note that it may be a little cooler during day while work is being done. The heating will be back online in late afternoon.

As of Monday April 7, 51Թstudents are able to access theNahum Gelber Law Library24 hours a day, seven days a week.As agreed between the Students' Society of 51Թ (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the April 10 to 30 examination period.

51Թ Libraries is proud to announce the release of its 2023–2024 Annual Report, showcasing 12 months of significant achievements and progress.

Among the key highlights are the reopening of the Schulich Library of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering and the successful transfer of 2.4 million books to the new 51Թ Collections Centre.
