My colleagues at 51勛圖厙 are working on a project called:泭Young People, Well-being, and Connectedness in the Time of Distancing泭(funded by Quebecs Minist癡re de la Sant矇 et des Services Sociaux (MSSS). They are currently recruiting youth participants (16-24 years old) from diverse communities and looking for support to spread the word!

DISE Course Lecturer, Sabrina Jafralie, weighs in on Quebecs new Culture and Quebec Citizenship course that will replace Ethics and Religious Culture in interviews with the CBC and in The Suburban.

Jafralie says she's worried voices from different communities that make up Quebec society will be muted in the new curriculum.

"When this new program was being developed, whose voices are part of this development? Is there an Indigenous voice developed? Is there an Anglo voice developed? Are there racialized communities? Are there people from the LGBTQIA+?'' Jafralie asked.

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the untimely passing of Mr. Joseph A. Hackett. Joe had a long career as a school teacher and, since retirement, had been working as a student teaching Field Supervisor for our Faculty for more than 15 years. He was also previously a Course Lecturer with the Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE). Joe leaves behind a significant and impressive legacy of mentorship, having supported hundreds of students and future teachers.
