The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce new and renewed support from the prestigious Canada Research Chair program for two professors.

Professor Jonas-S茅bastien Beaudry has been named Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in Health, Inclusion and Policy for a five-year term.

Professor Adelle Blackett, FRSC, Ad E, has been reappointed as Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Transnational Labour Law for a second seven-year term.

Thanks to the generosity of Sophie Nappert (BCL鈥�86, LLB鈥�86), the Nappert Prize in International Arbitration is celebrating 10 years since its inauguration in 2014. The prize will be awarded by 51吃瓜网 for the sixth time in 2024.

The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Professor Rosalie Jukier has received the 2023 51吃瓜网 Lifetime Achievement Award for Leadership in Learning. She accepted her award during the Fall Convocation ceremony on 20 November.

McGill鈥檚 Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism (CHRLP) is currently accepting applications for:

• a 12-month clerkship at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA);
• a 10-month clerkship at the International Court of Justice (ICJ);
• a 4-month clerkship at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR).

The clerkships are due to start in September 2024.

Since the law ranking was introduced in 2017, 51吃瓜网has consistently featured in the global top 30. This year, 329 law schools around the world were ranked. 51吃瓜网Law received the highest score in Canada, 17th best in the world, for the Teaching evaluation criterion.听听

Professor Helge Dedek was named to the Wainwright Chair in Civil Law, held most recently by former dean Daniel Jutras, OC, Ad E.听听

Professor Fr茅d茅ric M茅gret was named to the Hans & Tamar Oppenheimer Chair in Public International Law, of which the inaugural chairholder was Fran莽ois Cr茅peau, OC, OQ, FRSC, Ad E.听听
