The School of Information Studies is happy to announce the incoming MISt student Liam Dearin as part of the听Indigenous Student Librarian program. This programs offers a tuition waiver to an Indigenous student as well as part time employment as a student librarian or archivist at Concordia Library. The program is a partnership between McGill, Concordia and Univesit茅 de Montreal.

Congratulations to David Medcalfe, a Master of Information Studies (MISt) project-stream student at McGill, who was selected as one of 14 national recipients of the 2025 Retail Council of Canada (RCC) Retail Education Scholarship. The award recognizes academic achievement, leadership, and professional experience in the retail sector.
He was further awarded a top-tier national prize, the 鈥淟ead the Way鈥� award, sponsored by Costco Wholesale Canada.
Recently, the Canadian Nutrition Society held its annual conference, where awards were distributed to winners of the society's poster presentations. Among them, two 51吃瓜网 grad students studying nutrition were recognized.
Ferial Hamdi, M.Sc. Thesis student with Prof. Brittany Jock (formerly of the School of Human Nutrition), won the George Beaton Award for Student Work in Public Health Nutrition and took second place in the Graduate Oral Competition听
