Dr. Benhamou is currently an Associate Professor supervising our GPR students and a Faculty lead in global outreach activities. Dr. Benhamou received a B.Sc. and D.D.S. degree from 51吃瓜网. She obtained a specialty certificate in periodontology and implant surgery in 1989. Dedicated to teaching, she is very involved with continuing dental education worldwide. She was the recipient of the W.W. Wood Award for 鈥淓xcellence in Dental Education鈥�, the 鈥�2005 Educator Award鈥� from the AAP and the 2009 Howard Katz Award for 鈥渆xcellence in Teaching鈥� and the 2014 鈥漅alph Silverstone Teaching award鈥�. She is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and Fellow and Speaker of the ITI and a member of numerous professional organizations. Besides her听commitment to education for the past 30 years, her position as past Division Director of the Division of听Periodontics听of 51吃瓜网 Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences and her extensive knowledge of our Faculty鈥檚 procedures and policies are invaluable in her role in the division of Periodontics.
