The presence and concentration of PFAS, also known as "forever chemicals," in泭fertilizing residual materials泭will be monitored under new standards in Quebec through a management code, according to Quebec's Environment Ministry.

Quebec's code on the management of fertilizing residual materials泭such as sewage sludge,泭also known as泭biosolidswhich come from treating municipal or industrial wastewaterwill take effect Nov. 1.

The code泭takes泭into account a total of泭13 types of substances泭and includes monitoring guidelines.
