Who we are

The Administration and Finance units are entrusted with the management of McGill’s resources, including our finances, our buildings and campuses, and our technological infrastructure. Hailing from diverse professions, we provide a wide variety of services that form the backbone of McGill’s research and teaching activities. Each day we strive to create a supportive and safe environment for all, while helping to strengthen McGill’s role as a world-class institution.

Our ways of working

The Office of the Vice-President (Administration and Finance) has committed to a set of principles, shown below, that inform how we approach our work and our collaborations with other areas of the University. In keeping with the spirit of the Horizon 51³Ô¹ÏÍøprogram, these ways of working will help us fuel innovation and continuous improvement while empowering us to better serve the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøcommunity.

  • Partnering for McGill: We collaborate with our academic partners to achieve the University’s academic mission.
  • Embracing openness and continuous learning: We value open and transparent communication, and we continuously learn from each other and from our academic partners.
  • Sparking positive change: We take action as agents of change in the transformation of the University, starting with our own work and leadership.
  • Driving efficiency and impact: We focus our resources on what matters most and we are empowered to take calculated risks for maximum positive impact on the University’s mission.
