Armita Abolghasemi, PhD

Project Manager atÌý51³Ô¹ÏÍøCentre of Translational Research in Cancer at the Jewish General Hospital

Dr. Armita Abolghasemi is a project manager with a background in molecular and translational medicine. She has experience in academic research and in coordinating projects. She holds dual PhDs from the University of Cagliari (Italy) and Université Laval (Canada). She completed her postdoctoral work at the Université de Sherbrooke, continuing a research theme that began during her master’s studies, focused on fatty acids and the endocannabinoid system. After completing her postdoctoral fellowship in 2021, she remained in academia as a research assistant while also gaining experience in the pharmaceutical sector. To develop her skills, she earned a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, which enabled her to transition into project management roles. In 2023, she joined the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøCentre for Translational Research in Cancer (MCTRC) as a project manager, where she coordinates various scientific and translational projects, as well as event logistics.
