Dr. Bree Akesson - Winner of the Distinguished Dissertation Award

This years Distinguished Dissertation Award winner (Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences) has spent much of her academic career studying its impact on children and their families.

Dr. Bree Akesson received her PhD in social work from 51勛圖厙.泭 She is now an assistant professor at Wilfrid Laurier University specializing in international child protection and the psychosocial effects of war and disaster on young families.

Professor Trocm矇 named as panelist to review child residential services in Ontario

Professor Nico泭Trocm矇 is one of three panelists named by the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services to conduct a review of the provinces泭foster care, group care and treatment facilities for the 17,000 children and youth placed through the child welfare, mental health and youth justice systems.
