Lisanne Tremblay, M.A. (she/her)
c.o.
, Psychotherapist (OCCOQ/OPQ)
PGME Wellness Consultant

Lisanne has been serving as a PGME Wellness Consultant at McGill’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences since July 2022. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts from 51łÔąĎÍř.

So far, Lisanne has supported about 200 residents and fellows across specialties and levels of training. She understands your training’s unique stressors, including high demand, lack of personal time, busy schedules, frequent evaluations, and ongoing adjustments to different staff and rotation sites, just to name a few. She also believes in everyone’s capacity to learn sustainable ways to navigate life’s stressors as evidenced time and time again by psychology and neuroscience research.

Her counselling services, which are included in your tuition fee, can help you with challenges like believing nothing you do is ever good enough, getting stuck in your relationships, feeling overwhelmed, being unable to stop worrying about all the “what-ifs,” or fearing you are an imposter in medicine. Burnout, depression, anxiety, exam stress, work-life harmony, clinical performance, career doubts, mistreatment, discrimination, and grief are also common topics which she addresses in the counselling room.

Lisanne uses an integrative framework, which acknowledges each person’s unique needs and preferences and draws from science-based approaches such as third-wave Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), and Existential-Humanistic Therapy. She is passionate about developing tangible, personalized tools to help you not only maintain optimal well-being during your training but also sustain your important work throughout your career.

Lisanne is committed to serving people from all identities and backgrounds to the best of her abilities. She practices mindfulness and offers services in English and French.Ěý
