It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to a dear friend of the Redpath Museum, Don Lawrence, who sadly passed away at the age of 90.

As a loyal and dedicated volunteer, Don worked for many years in the paleontology preparation lab, chipping away at stone to reveal the fossils beneath, eventually transitioning to re-articulating skeletal material for the mammal collection. His exceptional work yielded many specimens used for exhibit, teaching and research, supporting the mission and mandate of the museum. Don's noble work ethic, amiable nature and enthusiasm about the museum was matched only by his charitable character and his devotion to helping others achieve their goals. He will be missed.
