°Õ³ó±ðÌý51³Ô¹ÏÍøWomen's Alumnae Association kindly invites you to join us for a compelling session with Pearl Eliadis, BSc'81, BCL/LLB'85, a senior lawyer and Associate Professor (professional) at the Max Bell School of Public Policy, as she explores how Canada's housing crisis is deepening gender-specific risks - and how human rights can drive meaningful, systemic change.

While homelessness and housing insecurity are on the rise, women who have experienced gender-based violence face distinct challenges. This session will examine how human rights frameworks can inform policy and practice to ensure safe, stable housing through community-based research underway with the Quebec Homelessness Prevention Policy Collaborative in partnership with 51³Ô¹ÏÍø and other partners.

What you'll gain from this session:

- Insight into why housing insecurity is a human rights issue
- Understanding of the intersection between housing and gender-based violence
- Practical strategies and policy recommendations, including legal reform, for change
- Opportunities for dialogue, questions, and community connection
