Premise:听Are part of a Native nation established in the territory of Quebec.
For members of a nation in Quebec
Document(s) required:
- Your valid
Certificate of Indian Status - QC issued by the federal government of Canada (both sides of card). Your card must indicate that you are a member of a recognized Quebec territory.

- If your card does not indicate a recognized Quebec territory, you must also provide one of the following:
- Band council letter - 听A letter signed by your band council and on band letterhead, attesting that you are a member of a Ministry-recognized Quebec nation.
- James Bay Beneficiary card - If you are a James Bay Treaty beneficiary, a copy of your beneficiary card issued by the Cree Grand Council, as long as your beneficiary number is shown.
For Inuit beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Convention
Document(s) required:
- Your valid Makivik Corporation card
- If your card does not indicate a recognized Quebec territory, you must also provide a letter from the Makivik Society confirming that you reside in Quebec. You may obtain this letter by contacting:
