About

Welcome to Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Interprofessional Education (IPE), formerly Office of Interprofessional Education (OIPE). The OIPE was created in 2016 evolving from the original Joint Curriculum Committee for Interprofessional Education formed in 2005‎. We have grown since 2016, reflecting our commitment to extend the potential benefits of IPE across health professions and create a vision for sustainable development in both the educational and clinical settings. We remain dedicated to and passionate about providing evidence based interprofessional education (IPE) to our students and colleagues through an enriched IPE curriculum of four (4) courses, faculty development activities, and scholarship at the local, national, and international levels. There are currently nine (9) health profession programs participating in the IPE curriculum which enables more students to actively learn with, from and about each other with the goal of achieving more optimal Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (IPCP). Our team of facilitators comprising faculty, clinicians and healthcare providers continues to grow both in numbers and interest in IPE participation. Browse the website to further explore the opportunities for IPE.
