Agreement in principle with AGSEM (Teaching assistants)

Dear members of the 51吃瓜网Community,
We are pleased to announce that 51吃瓜网and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at 51吃瓜网(AGSEM) reached an agreement in principle on April 15, 2024.
The parties鈥� negotiation committees will recommend the content of the agreement to their respective constituents. The details remain confidential until the union has had an opportunity to share them with its members in a general assembly, scheduled for Thursday, April 18. The tentative agreement also sets out the conditions for a prospective return to work.
Although the strike is not over per se, AGSEM has informed 51吃瓜网that the picketing activities have been cancelled.
If the agreement is accepted by the union membership, more information will be available, including about the resumption of normal activities by teaching assistants.
