Professional Development
51Թhas many resources to support your academic and professional development as a postdoc including:
- English and French courses from the School of Continuing Studies (fees charged)
- Professional development programming from SKILLSETS
- Staff development from Teaching and Learning Services
- Career development (including specialized services for postdocs) from the Career Planning Services (CaPS).
- Postdocs who are Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents may take courses as part-timeor special students (fees charged).
Memberships
As a postdoc, you also have access to memberships in:

- Postdoctoral Fellows and Postdoctoral Scholars are members of the and will have access to PGSS' student health and dental plan.
On-campus Benefits
- Postdocs may be listed in the 51Թdirectory.IT Serviceswill grant postdocs e-mail privileges on the same basis as graduate students upon presentation of an I.D. card.
- Postdocs are granted access toupon presentation of their I.D. card. A “staff” fee will be charged on an annual or term basis.
- Student Health Servicesare available to postdocs (with the exception of unionized postdoc researchers) on an opt-in basis. Fees are applicable.
- Postdocs classified aspostdoctoral researchersshould refer toHuman Resourcesfor information on benefits.
