How to Apply

If you have a current job at McGill, apply as an INTERNAL APPLICANT: login and apply through , using your 51Թusername and password. IMPORTANT: You MUST first connect to McGill's VPN before you login to Workday (). Once logged into Workday, type "Find Jobs" in the Search bar. Then search for “Economics Teaching Assistants”, once you have found it, you can apply directly through your Workday account.

If you do not have a current job at McGill, you must apply as an EXTERNAL APPLICANT: navigate to the . First sign in to your candidate account or create one, as applicable. IMPORTANT: To create your account, make sure to use a personal email address (and NOT an @mail.mcgill.ca or @mcgill.ca email address). Search for “ Economics Teaching Assistants” in the Search bar and click Apply to begin the application process.

International students must have a valid study permit, social Insurance number (SIN), and Canadian bank account to be hired as a TA.

Teaching Assistant Forms

If you are accepted for a TA position, you must complete the following forms:

TA Workload Form(To be completed with the Course Supervisor by the end of the add/drop period)

Important Note: International Students

International students must have a valid Canadian Social Insurance Number to work as a teaching assistant (or other employment on campus). To apply for a Social Insurance Number, you will need to present your Visa/Study Permit at your local Service Canada Centre after your arrival in Canada, and before starting work.
