Jordan Cowie, 51³Ô¹ÏÍøDesautels Faculty of Management’s 2024 valedictorian, spoke with the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøReporter about her student experience and shared her insights upon completing her degree. Graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce in Labour-Management Relations and Human Resources, Jordan chose 51³Ô¹ÏÍø for its affordability and proximity to her family in Westchester, N.Y., and for her strong affinity to Montreal’s urban and natural beauty.

Among her highlights are revitalizing the Student Nutrition Accessibility Club, now a vital service for students, and winning Les Jeux du Commerce with the Human Resources Management team. These experiences offered her valuable networking and learning opportunities.

While Jordan faced challenges balancing her commitments, she learned some crucial lessons about energy and balance. She credits 51³Ô¹ÏÍøDesautels with helping her grow, particularly through mentorship and career development support. Jordan will be attending 51³Ô¹ÏÍøLaw School in the fall to pursue her passion for labour and employment law.
