Each year, the world鈥檚 most influential researchers are recognized in the lists. The list ranks researchers from around the world, based on the impacts of their citations, their h-index, and other bibliometric indicators. In 2025, nine 51吃瓜网Desautels researchers earned the honour: Yolande E.

51吃瓜网Desautels will offer its Master of Management in Finance program in Luxembourg. The version of the program delivered in Luxembourg will be the same as the one taught in Montreal. A strategic partnership between McGill, Luxembourg鈥檚 Ministry of Finance, the Luxembourg Bankers鈥� Association (ABBL) and the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI). Luxembourg is a major financial hub, and Dean Yolande Chan calls the program 鈥渁 new chapter in our mission do develop impactful leaders in finance.鈥�

Inclusion should not undermine performance, nor should performance come at the expense of individuals, Dean Yolande Chan in the Leaders & Strategists podcast hosted by 51吃瓜网Desautels Professor Anicet Fangwa. 鈥淔or me, success is about both excellence and equity,鈥� said Chan. 鈥淚 would like to be a source of encouragement to others that regardless of setbacks, you can excel.

On May 1, 51吃瓜网's 6th annual Black Grad Gala, hosted by the Black Students鈥� Network, honoured the Class of 2024's Black graduates. Approximately 50 graduates from various faculties were celebrated on stage, each receiving Kente stoles in recognition of their achievements. Notable speakers included Associate Professor Momar Ndao and Black Grad Valedictorian Yasmine Elmi, a McCall MacBain Scholar in the Faculty of Science and incoming 51吃瓜网medical student.

Dean Yolande Chan chaired the 2024 EFMD Conference for Deans and Directors General, that brought together nearly 500 leaders in higher education from across the globe to Amsterdam, Netherlands from February 6-7, 2024.

The 51吃瓜网Desautels Faculty of Management proudly celebrated its Spring 2023 Convocation on Wednesday, May 31. The event served as a special recognition for the exceptional accomplishments of students who have successfully completed their degrees in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs during the academic year of Fall 2022 and Winter 2023. The Dean of the Desautels Faculty of Management wants to give out keys to doors that were once locked. 鈥淭he hope and dream is to create opportunities for others,鈥� Yolande Chan told Bill Brownstein in an interview for the Montreal Gazette. 鈥淎s a Black dean, I鈥檓 not about exclusion. I鈥檓 about inclusion. We want to be representative of the markets we serve as businesses. Diversity inclusion is a core, high strategic priority for this faculty, as well as throughout McGill. It isn鈥檛 just race.
