The 51ԹLibraries are delighted to announce that two colleagues, Dean Guylaine Beaudry and staff member Anne-Marie Fournier, were awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in December 2024. The honour highlights the exceptional contributions of Canadians, many of whom work behind the scenes, making a significant impact on their community, their province, and sometimes even at the national and international levels.

To execute repairs, Facilities Management and Ancillary Services is planning a water shutdown on Wednesday, December 18 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., which will affect the McLennan Library Building only, including all its water fountains and washrooms.

Please use the water fountains, sinks, and washrooms located in the Redpath Library Building during this period.

As part of their transition to the Libby app, OverDrive are retiring their legacy OverDrive app for Fire tablets on January 31, 2025.

After this date, the legacy OverDrive app sunset will be complete on all platforms. Users with Fire tablets running Android 9 or higher can install the Libby app instead.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) strike has ended. The delivery of documents requested from other libraries will gradually resume. Additional delays are to be expected. Thank you for your understanding.

As of Monday, December 1, 51Թstudents are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of 51Թ (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the December 2 to 20 examination period.
