McGill's adapted transport service
McGill's adapted transport service is a free service available to students and staff with impairments or injuries that compromise mobility. The adapted van will transport staff and students from one 51³Ô¹ÏÍøbuilding to another 51³Ô¹ÏÍøbuilding within the downtown campus limits.
Service hours ***
- December 2024 through to January 2025:
- Regular hours through exam period (December 6 to December 20 inclusive):
- 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (closed for lunch 12:00-1:30 p.m.).
- Reduced hours December 23rd, 24th 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed for lunch 12:00-1:30 p.m.).
- No service on
- Reduced hours January 3rd 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed for lunch 12:00-1:30 p.m.).
- Resume regular schedule January 6th.
- Regular hours through exam period (December 6 to December 20 inclusive):
- September to early June (to end of exams)
- Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. to 6:00p.m (closed for lunch 12:00-13:00).
- Make requests prior to 5:30 p.m. to ensure availability
- Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. to 6:00p.m (closed for lunch 12:00-13:00).
- After end of exams to late August
- Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (closed for lunch 12:00-13:00).
- Make requests prior to 3:30 p.m. to ensure availability
- Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (closed for lunch 12:00-13:00).

Area covered
The delimited area of the downtown campus where the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøadapted transport service operates between 51³Ô¹ÏÍøbuildings is as follows:
- The northern border is des Pins avenue and includes the campus buildings between des Pins avenue and the mountain.
- The western-most border is de la Montagne street.
- The southern-most border is Sainte-Catherine street.
- The eastern border is du Parc avenue/Bleury street.

To be eligible for a reduced student rate on public transport you must be registered as a full time student. However, if you are taking a reduced course load for reasons related to your disability, the Student Accessibility & Achievement office will provide you with a letter for the transport company (including the card requested by Via Rail) confirming that you should be considered for eligibility as if you were a full time student.
