Lund (Vilcek Institute of G raduate Biomedical Sciences New York University Grossman School of Medicin e) will be giving a talk entitled “Investigating the impact of lymphatic t ransport from immune surveillance to metastasis” as part of the Emerging T opics of Health (EToH) Seminar series\, cohosted by the Departments of Mic robiology and Immunology\, Physiology and Human Genetics\, the Goodman Can cer Institute (GCI) and the 51Թ Research Centre on Complex T raits (MRCCT). \n\n \n\nGrad students: Sign up to have lunch with our gues t speaker!\n\nThere will be a lunch with Dr Lund for graduate students and postdocs. If you would like to have lunch with our guest speaker\, please fill out this SURVEY. The lunch will be held from 12h to 1h in Room #530 in the Bellini. \n\n \n\nNote: There will be a 5à7 after the talk at Brass Doors Pub (2171 Crescent Street) and anyone (students\, postdocs\, and fa culty) are welcome to join! \n\n \n\nYou will find attached the poster. He re is her abstract:\n\nThe lymphatic vasculature is the critical interface between peripheral tissues and secondary lymphoid organs where adaptive i mmune responses are initiated. Though the immune response and the lymphati c vasculature are anatomically and functionally related\, the contribution of these vessels to peripheral tissue and anti-tumor immunity remains und erappreciated and unexplored. The Lund Lab tests the hypothesis that the l ymphatic vasculature is an active regulator of cutaneous and tumor immunit y both serving as the requisite route for immune priming and directly cont ributing to multiple mechanisms of immune resolution and tumor immune esca pe. By elucidating novel mechanisms of lymphatic vessel-mediated immune co ntrol we are working towards the long-term goal of identifying novel targe ts and strategies to use the lymphatic vasculature to tune immune function to enhance cancer immunotherapy \n\n \n\nThank you on behalf of the organ izing committee of the EToH\n DTSTART:20230125T203000Z DTEND:20230125T213000Z LOCATION:Room 504\, McIntyre Medical Building\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3G 1Y 6\, 3655 promenade Sir William Osler SUMMARY:Emerging Topics in Health (EToH): Systems Immunity - 'Investigating the impact of lymphatic transport from immune surveillance to metastasis' URL:/sbms/channels/event/etoh-2 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
