DESCRIPTION: \n\nThe purpose of the SSHRC Partnership Development Grants (P
 DG) is to provide support over one to three years for teams working in for
 mal collaboration between postsecondary institutions and/or organizations 
 of various types in the social sciences and humanities.\n\nSSHRC Partnersh
 ip Engage Grants (PEG) are similar\, providing short-term (one year) and t
 imely support for partnered research activities that will inform decision-
 making at a single partner organization from the public\, private or not-f
 or-profit sector (partner cannot be postsecondary institution).\n\nResearc
 hers in social sciences and humanities\, arts and literature who are plann
 ing to apply to the upcoming PDG and PEG competitions are encouraged to at
 tend this information session\, which will include:\n\nA brief presentatio
 n about the objectives and application requirements of the SSHRC PDG and P
 EG funding opportunities by Michelle Picard-Aitken\, Grants and Agreements
  Officer\, Social Sciences and Humanities\n	\n		Information about the peer-re
 view process and strategies for preparing a successful proposal from Prof.
  Bronwen Low (Faculty of Education)\, speaking from her experiences as a P
 DG selection committee member and as an award holder\n	\n	A question and ans
 wer period where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions th
 ey may have about the program or the application process.\n \n\nThose who 
 are unable to attend or who may not feel comfortable sharing their questio
