DESCRIPTION:Join us for Science Literacy Week!\n\nAs a part of Science and 
 Literacy Week at 51³Ô¹ÏÍøcome and meet us at the Redpath Museum for a bilin
 gual family-friendly event on Mont-Royal exploring Montreal’s marine fossi
 ls.  Prior to arriving at the park there will be a workshop in the geology
  laboratory located at Earth and Planetary Sciences to familiarize people 
 about the area almost a half a billion years ago!\n\nBegin with a short 10
  minute presentation about Montreal as a tropical ocean by Professor Jeann
 e Paquette of Earth and Planetary Sciences\, followed by a 15 minute hands
 -on workshop introducing you to fossils commonly found. It is then about a
  15 minute walk from 51³Ô¹ÏÍøto the Mont Royal site\, where we will explore
  the local marine fossils until 14h00. The Google map location is here.\n
 \nThere will be a 15 minute break on campus prior to leaving for Mont Roya
 l Park for a snack/washroom break.\n\nFor families with children aged betw
 een 7 and 12 years old.\n\nCOST: $10.00 (+taxes) per adult \; $5.00 (+taxe
 s) per child / a maximum of $25.00 (+taxes) per family.\n\nPlease arrive a
 t 10h30 to register and pay at the museum front desk. At 11h00\, paleontol
 ogy technician Chantal Montreuil from the Redpath Museum will lead the gro
 up over to the Geology lab in the Frank Dawson Adams building for the pres
 entation.\n\nSpace is limited. Advance registration required.\n\nPlease re
 gister here.\n\n\nPlease note the museum will be hosting a conference and 
 will be closed to the public\, cafes on campus are also closed\, there are
  washrooms available on campus only.  As a reminder this activity is weath
 er permitting.\n\nWe recommend comfortable clothes and good walking shoes\
 , sport type (squirt) water bottles to bring out details in stone and magn
 ifying lenses. Bring your own snacks and refreshments\n\nParking is availa
