Sc. candidate\, Hans Larsson Lab\, Redpath Museum) a nd Noemie Sheppard (President\, Redpath Museum Society)\n\nJoin us to carr y on a tradition first started by the Museum's Founder: Sir William Dawson \, to share new paleontological findings\, the real fossils\, and a cup of tea. \n\nThis summer\, plant and insect fossils from the Cretaceous perio d were found in an abandoned open-pit mine near Schefferville\, on the bor der between Québec and Labrador. They were collected in an expedition join tly led by Alexandre Demers-Potvin\, of the Redpath Museum\, and Mario Cou rnoyer\, of the Musée de paléontologie et de l’évolution\, in an attempt t o reconstruct an extinct lake ecosystem surrounded by a broad-leafed fores t at the time of the dinosaurs.
