What happens where art meets science?聽Led by student teachers聽from McGill's Faculty of Education,聽 these workshops will introduce young people to the museum鈥檚 collections and help them develop creative thinking and artistic skills. From fossils and mono prints to sea mammals and soundwaves, these eight workshops encourage innovative, creative and playful explorations of the connections between science and art.

Each week we will focus on a specific part of the museum collection and create art inspired by what we learn and see.听Please note: these workshops are for pre-teens and聽teens ages 9-14. To ensure that our content is age-appropriate, this program is not for younger children. Thank you for your understanding.听

Each workshop is $12+tax per child聽or $40.00+tax聽for 4 workshops with advance registration before March聽3, 2019.听

Land Acknowledgement

Rematriation, Repatriation and Restitution Statement

We acknowledge that the return and restitution of cultural and natural heritage to communities of origin is an essential part of reconciliation and of recognizing the fundamental rights of Indigenous Peoples. As part of wider efforts to activate the standards presented in the Canadian Museums Association Report Moved to Action: Activating UNDRIP in Canadian Museums (2022), the Redpath is working towards pro-active restitution practices. As per our Collections Management Policy (2024), repatriation requests will be received by the Redpath Museum Director and will be treated on a case-by-case basis.
