However\, mental il lness can follow many different paths. Having one disorder increases the r isk of developing others. Neuroimaging can offer unique insights into the structure and function of the brain and\, thus\, offers hope of identifyin g biomarkers highest risk for poor outcomes\, a necessary step for tailori ng care to mitigate this risk. Present research can have a greater transla tional impact by looking beyond case-control comparisons that assume some uniformity within the patient population to examine clinically meaningful sources of heterogeneity. We will present recent work that uses neuroimagi ng to model sources of cognitive function and depressive symptoms in parti cipants with schizophrenia spectrum disorders\, areas of untreated clinica l need. We will also present available data and introduce new cohort studi es that are following children and youth over time to look at the link bet ween brain development and trajectories of mental health\, especially thos e imaging youth with multiple mental health diagnoses. Finally\, we will d iscuss the impacts of standardized\, reproducible workflows that respect i ndividual variability in brain anatomy to clinical neuroimaging research. \n DTSTART:20240402T160000Z DTEND:20240402T170000Z SUMMARY:QLS Seminar Series - Erin Dickie URL:/qls/channels/event/qls-seminar-series-erin-dickie -356060 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
