What is Horizon McGill?Ìý

In February, Provost Manfredi and VP (Administration & Finance) Labeau , one of several measures needed to address ²Ñ³¦³Ò¾±±ô±ô’s financial situation.Ìý

Fundamentally though, Horizon 51³Ô¹ÏÍø¾±²õ²Ô’t about our budget. I³Ù’s about leveraging our strengths, making the most of what we have and making our academic and administrative activities more sustainable. Among other things, that means quicker and simpler processes, less red tape, economies of scale and better ways of working. Not doing more with less – because in many cases ·É±ð’r±ð already doing too much – but doing better with less, as measured by the impact of our work on the advancement of our goals.Ìý

These efforts will indeed help stabilize our budget, but they will also make 51³Ô¹ÏÍøa better place to work and study. Most importantly, they will secure the long-term success of our academic mission.Ìý

What will HM’s Program Management Office do?Ìý

To achieve these goals Horizon McGill will need a small team, temporarily seconded from their regular duties elsewhere at the University.Ìý

These four employees will coordinate efforts, drive and measure change, scale our successes and celebrate our progress along the way. Ìý

What positions are available?Ìý

To limit salary costs and leverage the institutional knowledge of our workforce, these positions are open only to current staff. External candidates will not be considered.Ìý

• Ìý
  Will help lead change across the University, touching upon organizational structures, business processes, and more.Ìý

  Will develop and implement communication plans to support Horizon 51³Ô¹ÏÍøand our community as a whole.Ìý

• 
  Will provide expertise in program design, process optimization, change management and analytics – tracking and analyzing metrics, compiling reports and communicating ±è°ù´Ç²µ°ù±ð²õ²õ. Ìý

• Ìý
  Will provide administrative and logistical support to help Horizon McGill run smoothly.Ìý
