Horizon McGill: Data Update and Q&A

Dear 51³Ô¹ÏÍøcommunity members,

In recent months, Horizon McGill has been hard at work – connecting with our community at Faculty/Unit Town Halls, overseeing working groups that will trim costs and red tape, and beginning our multi-year journey to help make 51³Ô¹ÏÍøthe strongest and most efficient university it can be.

Horizon’s work will be informed by data – including a satisfaction survey launched early this year, and costing information that shows how much we spend on administrative operations, benchmarked against other universities.

That benchmarking is now complete, and Deans and administrative Unit heads have solid data reflecting the functions and areas they oversee. Over the next few months, we’ll help them better understand and interpret that information, so they can make informed, data-driven decisions that advance McGill’s academic mission.

As promised, we also want to take some time to engage with our community. We’ve recorded a explaining the data, and we invite you to watch it in advance of joining us for a live Q&A session at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12. Please use to join.

We invite you to share Horizon-related questions beforehand, via . You’ll have an opportunity to share questions live next Friday as well.

Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Christopher Manfredi
