The MFHA program is designed to provide the necessary support to a person who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or facing a menta l health crisis. MHFA teaches about recovery and resiliency – the belief t hat individuals experiencing these challenges can and do get better\, and use their strengths to stay well. Course participants will learn how to re cognize the signs of such a decline and learn about approaches to encourag e a person to:\n\n\n Talk about declines in their mental well-being and\n Re ach out to professionals and other supports to help in their recovery towa rds improved mental well-being\n\n\nThe upcoming MFHA training is being of fered on:\n\n\n Module 1 (2 hours – a self-directed module)\n Module 2 - Oct ober 12\, 2023\, 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.\n Module 3 - October 13\, 2023\, 9: 00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.\n\n\n \n\nParticipants must complete the three module s and attend both sessions on October 12 and October 13\, 2023\, to get ce rtified.\n\n \n\nThe MHFA Standard Virtual Program – An 8-hour course with 3 modules:\n\nModule 1 (2-hours – a self-directed module)\n\nThis module focuses on the information and strategies that participants will discuss a nd practice throughout the virtual classroom sessions (Modules 2 and 3).
