Congratulations to the Schulich School of Music Spring 2025 Graduates and Award Recipients!

As the 51Թ campus buzzes with excitement over the approaching Convocation, we want to take the time to celebrate the incredible faculty and student instructors who aided our graduating students along their academic journey.

We arehonouredto recognize three individuals who demonstrated excellence, commitment, and innovation in teaching. They all have immeasurably enriched the lives of our students through their passion, knowledge, and musicianship.

Part-time professor:

Marie-Chantal Leclair

Marie-Chantal Leclair is a saxophone professor at the Schulich School of Music and is committed to providing high quality instruction to her students, both individually and in small ensemble settings. Her student-first approach to teaching places an emphasis on individual students’ agency for their own learning and finding their unique musical voice.

James Clemens-Seely

James Clemens-Seely is a Sound Recording professor at the Schulich School of Music. His diverse experience as a sound specialist and educator allows him to cater courses to his students’ needs and interests, providing an individualized and flexible learning experience with a “meet you where you are” atmosphere.

Graduate Instructor: Aaron Dolman

Aaron Dolman was a graduate instructor for Drum Set Proficiency (MUJZ 172) for the BMus Jazz Performance program at the Schulich School of Music. Beyond ensuring each of his students leave his course proficient in the necessary fundamentals and techniques, Aaron is dedicated to providing his students with practical and applicable information and the skills to be successful, comprehensive musicians.

Saina Alikhani awarded the 2025 Salsinger Tani Gold Medal in Music Performance

The Salsinger Tani Gold Medal is presented to an undergraduate student who demonstrates excellence in music performance.

Gabriella Leanne Canzani awarded the 2025 51ԹAlumnae Society Prize

The 51ԹAlumnae Society Prize is presented to a distinguished student for excellence and highacademicstanding.

Camden James Oberg awarded the 2025 Bernard Shapiro Prize

Awarded in honour of Dr. Bernard J. Shapiro to a student in opera or vocal performance.
