In 1997\, he became a Senior Scientist of the CIHR-Rx&D program (Canadian Institutes of Health Research and Cana da’s Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies). His accomplishments ultimat ely led to his appointment as Director of the Alzheimer Disease and Relate d Disorders Research Unit of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø in 2000.\n\nFurthermore\, h e is also the author and editor of several books\, including Management of Dementia (2nd ed. - 2009)\, Clinical Diagnosis and Management of Alzheime r’s Disease (3rd ed. - 2007)\, Pharmacotherapy of Alzheimer's Disease (199 8)\, and Alzheimer's Disease in Primary Care (2nd ed. - 1997).\n\nHis inte rnationally recognized work led to his introduction into the National Orde r of Quebec (2017) and the National Order of Canada (2014). He received th e Prix d’Excellence (2009)\, the Irma Parhad Award (2009) and the Prize Ga lien (1997) for his continued efforts in improving conditions for those su ffering from Alzheimer’s disease.\n\nHis personal interests lie in the man agement of dementia in different stages\, the ethics of research involving individuals with Alzheimer’s disease\, and primary prevention strategies against cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s dementia.\n\n\nMrs. Claire Webst er\n\nFounder and Ambassador\, Dementia Education Program\, 51³Ô¹ÏÍøUnivers ity\n Founder and President of Caregiver Crosswalk Inc.\n\nClaire Webster i s a Certified Alzheimer Care Consultant (PAC)\, Certified Professional Con sultant on Aging (CPCA)\, as well as a conference speaker and educator in the field of caring for an individual with dementia.\n\nShe is Founder and President of Caregiver Crosswalk Inc.\, a consulting firm that provides e ducation and support services to help individuals navigate the journey of Alzheimer’s disease and/or dementia related illnesses.\n\nClaire works in collaboration with 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's Faculty of Medicine and Health Scie nces and the Division of Geriatric Medicine.
