Canada's Wild Rivers - 360 | Into Water
In the third installment of National Geographic鈥檚 鈥淚nto Water鈥� 360 series, canoe through the sprawling Canadian wilderness with freshwater ecologist and National Geographic Explorer Dalal Hanna [Ph.D. candidate NRS (Bennett)]. She researches Quebec鈥檚 extensive freshwater systems, collecting samples from streams, rivers and lakes to assess ecosystem health, with the aim of protecting these precious resources.
Training farmers for the 21st century
Keesha Ness鈥檚 family certainly knows farming 鈥� they鈥檝e been doing it for nearly 100 years and plan to celebrate when they reach that milestone next summer.
Ness is passionate about farming, loves her cows, and plans to follow the family鈥檚 tradition.
鈥淚鈥檓 definitely hoping to help out with the management side,鈥� says Ness of her family鈥檚 Ayrshire dairy farm in Howick, Quebec.
