 ual diary carefully curated by an individual or group. Every page turn rev
 eals a selection of what the creators valued\, found noteworthy\, and wort
 h keeping - and more importantly\, mounting for display! In many ways\, sc
 rapbooks are the Instagram profiles of the past\, where people curated the
 ir favourite images and created works.\n\nWe’ll page through selections of
  eclectic and unusual scrapbooks from the 19th century from both collectio
 ns. Join us for a fascinating lunch hour!\n\nAbout the Speakers:\n\nAllie 
 Alvis is the Curator of Special Collections at the Winterthur Library\, a 
 world-renowned independent academic research library focusing on American 
 decorative arts\, material culture\, and society in a global context. Alli
 e stewards and engages material spanning over 500 years of history\, from 
 manuscript inventories from the 1500s to shoe catalogs from the 1960s. For
 merly a rare book cataloguer at Type Punch Matix and the special collectio
 ns reference librarian of the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives\, Allie h
 as built their career around sharing the weird and wonderful world of book
  history.\n\nJacquelyn Sundberg is Outreach librarian for the rare and spe
 cial collections division at the 51łÔąĎÍř Library. Combining expe
 rience in both public and academic libraries with her Masters degrees in E
 nglish Literature and Information Studies\, she uses her skillset to make 
 library collections accessible to a broader audience. She curates the cook
 book and children’s collections at McGill. Her work also includes grant pr
 ojects\, publications\, multimedia projects\, websites\, videos\, games\,
