The objective will involve students\, scholars\, the faculty\, civil society\, and the larger public in meaning ful discussions to foster theoretical and practical engagement to advance Indigenous Peoples’ rights.  The dialogues are coordinated by 51³Ô¹ÏÍøDocto ral Candidate Luisa Castaneda-Quintana\, in collaboration with the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism and the Indigenous Law Association / Association du Droit Autochtone (ILADA).  \n\nAbout the speaker \n\nDr. Ku ndan Kumar\, Indigenous Peoples Resources and Climate Change Expert \n\nDr . Kundan Kumar is a researcher and advocate for Rights Based Approaches to Climate Justice and Conservation. He has experience as a researcher/teach er (University of Toronto)\; in international NGOs (Rights and Resources I nitiative\, Washington\, DC) and as a social movement activist for indigen ous and community rights in India. He has supported Indigenous Peoples and local communities across the Asia Region in their efforts for recognition of collective resource rights over their lands and territories.
