 holars and graduate students of Central Europe based in the vicinity of Mo
 ntreal for the purpose of intellectual exchange on and professional networ
 king. We hope that participants will come from a broad array of fields\, i
 ncluding but not limited to literature\, language\, history\, cultural and
  film studies\, musicology\, philosophy\, and political science. The bilin
 gual (English-French) workshop will revolve around invigorating and colleg
 ial discussions of participants’ short\, pre-circulated position papers th
 at address one of the workshop’s central themes.The workshop eschews forma
 l panel presentations in favor of more democratic group discussions of the
 se papers.\n
