Po stcolonial theories have expanded and\n contributed to the visibility of hi storically oppressed communities\, but much work remains in literary\n and cultural studies. The rise of political movements has renewed interest in the ideas of post- and\n decolonial theorists such as Albert Memmi\, Jacque s Derrida\, Gayatri Spivak\, Edward W. Said\, Homi\n K. Bhabba\, Maryse Con dé\, and Walter Mignolo.\n As a department committed to the tenants of Equi ty\, Diversity\, and Inclusion (EDI)\, we are\n committed to engage with th ese complex and critical issues in a meaningful way\, and welcome diverse \n perspectives and approaches\, including those from Indigenous and Black communities. Through our\n commitment to this work\, we aim to deepen our u nderstanding and contribute to ongoing efforts\n towards decolonization.
