Register here.\n\nThe Indigenous Studies Program seeks to enrich the McGi ll Community by inviting an Indigenous Knowledge Holder to spend a week at the university to share their scholarship\, work\, and advocacy. Indigeno us Knowledge Holders ­– whether they be wampum belt holders\, storytellers \, artists\, activists\, hereditary leaders\, or academics– encompass gene rations of knowledge embedded within the cultural and epistemological worl dview of Indigenous communities that span generations. This Series seeks t o act as a bridge between that knowledge and the institution while placing an emphasis on Indigenous community collaborations and partnerships throu gh academic events\, workshops\, and community presentations.\n \n Lisa Qilu qqi Koperqualuk was born in Puvirnituq\, Northern Quebec (Nunavik). Fluent in Inuktitut\, English and French\, Lisa acted as Communications Officer for Makivik Corporation for seven years and participated in various region al\, national and international fora such as Inuit Circumpolar Council Gen eral Assemblies in Kuujjuaq 2002\, in Barrow 2006 (as a delegate) and elec ted in July 2018 in UtqiaÄ¡vik as Vice-President International for ICC Cana da.
