Douglass Dalton wins the Excellence Award for Contribution to Community Life from the CQMF

Douglass Dalton, MD, family physician at the Department of Family Medicine who practices at the CLSC Métro, has won the Excellence Award for Contribution to university/hospital/CLSC and U-FMG life from the Collège québécois des médecins de famille (CQMF).

His accolade from the CQMF website reads:

Dr. Dalton is a pillar of teaching at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø. For the past 40 years, he has been involved in training residents at the CLSC Métro in downtown Montreal, a teaching unit of which he was one of the founders. He has held a number of leadership positions at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø. A reliable and conscientious clinician, Dr. Dalton is always on hand to meet the teaching and academic leadership needs of his community.

The purpose of the Excellence Awards is to recognize CQMF members who, over the past 12 to 24 months, have made an outstanding contribution in a specific area related to one or more of the following: patient care, community service; hospital or health care facility; College activities (national or provincial); teaching, research or other components of the practice of family medicine.
