Welcome to Dr. Matthieu Allez who has recently been appointed to the 51吃瓜网Department of Medicine as Professor on March 1, 2025.聽He is in Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and a member of the MUHC Research Institute. He holds the Bruce Kaufman 51吃瓜网IBD Research Chair. Dr. Allez completed his residency training in gastroenterology at Universit茅 de Paris. He spent two years for a post-doc at Mount Sinai in NY. He was Chief of Gastroenterology at Hopital St Louis in Paris.
His focus in basic research has been in mucosal immunology and immunopathology of inflammatory bowel disease, and more specifically on the role of T cells in mucosal inflammation. He will be developing and leading the 51吃瓜网translational research program in IBD. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Allez.
