 e offered in collaboration with The Council for Black Aging Community of M
 ontreal\, the Eva Marsden Centre for Social Justice and Aging\, the LaSall
 e Multicultural Resource Center\, and Women on the Rise.\n\nThis public le
 cture aims to raise awareness and provide basic information about Alzheime
 r’s and other dementia-related diseases.\n\nDuring this presentation\, Dr.
  Serge Gauthier\, a clinical neurologist\, will provide information on the
  different types of neurocognitive disorders. He will discuss the associat
 ed behavioural and psychological symptoms that manifest as the disease pro
 gresses\, and explain how these may differ from typical aging concerns. Dr
 . Gauthier is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Neurology & Neurosur
 gery and the Department of Psychiatry at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø\, and the Acade
 mic Co-Lead of the Dementia Education Program.\n\nNext\, Mrs. Claire Webst
 er\, former caregiver and Certified Dementia Care Consultant\, will share 
 practical advice on how to care for a person living with dementia. She wil
 l discuss important considerations to ensure the safety and well-being of 
 both the individual as well as the care partner to help families understan
 d and access the resources needed to navigate this disease. Claire is the 
 Founder and Ambassador of the Dementia\n	Education Program at 51³Ô¹ÏÍøUniver
 sity\, and Founder and President\, Caregiver Crosswalk Inc.\n\nA question
