Damoon聽Robatian聽holds a PhD in mathematics and has been dedicated to statistical learning and artificial intelligence over the past years. Particularly,聽Damoon's main area of expertise is weakly-supervised learning from incomplete data. Another direction of his research is related to the mathematical foundations of function estimation via artificial neural networks. Before concentrating on machine learning,聽Damoon聽used to conduct academic research in topological dynamics, which is a branch of the theory of dynamical systems.

Throughout his data science career, besides research,聽Damoon聽has collaborated with companies such as Air Canada and Huawei Noah's Ark Lab, amongst others. Having participated in a variety of industrial projects, he has employed his theoretical expertise to solve problems belonging to various domains including flight scheduling,聽 stratified health care management systems, telecommunications, medical observational studies, and financial risk management.聽聽

Damoon is also a passionate teacher. He especially enjoys breaking down complex ideas and explaining them in simple language. Teaching has been always a non-separable part of his life since his own student years.聽Damoon聽started teaching at the School of Continuing Studies in 2018.聽聽聽聽聽聽
