 n of renewable resources. To take into account the typically continuous-ti
 me modeling of biological species and\, instead\, of the specialized harve
 sting activities\, which by its nature cannot change continuously\, the re
 sulting dynamic system is of the hybrid type\, i.e.\, continuous for biolo
 gical variables and discrete for the economic ones. Through a discretizati
 on of the continuous variables\, the problem is then reformulated by means
  of a three-dimensional map. We study the dynamic properties of this map t
 o understand how economic parameters influence the long-run availability o
 f resources.\n
