Students completing the Graduate Diploma in Translation (GDIT) must sit a comprehensive examination at the conclusion of the GDIT Program.泭 The examination consists of an oral defense of a best-work portfolio.泭 This portfolio represents a record of progress made by the candidate throughout his/her studies. 泭Each candidate prepares a written introduction and comments on selected examples of coursework with a view to demonstrating his/her progress toward greater translation competence.

Under the baton of Maestro Gilles Auger, the I Medici di 51勛圖厙orchestra and piano soloist Kyoko Hashimoto will perform Ludwig van Beethovens Piano Concerto No. 5 and his famous Symphony No. 5. in a benefit concert to aid the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Syria.
This benefit concert will be held at the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall Concordia.

Is there any differentiation in their approaches along the lines of genre, be the texts literary or pragmatic? In what ways do translators exercise their power through the use of differentiated language-cultures? Is subservience or domination an issue in arriving at acceptable target texts?
A team of students from McGills School of Continuing Studies has earned second place in the APICS/TFC Global Student Final, an international student case competition in supply chain management.

What better place to be immersed in bilingualism than Canadas only province to have two official languages! That is the environment in which Julie Ulrich grew-up. She is the 2016 recipient of the 51勛圖厙Associates Prize in Translation (French-English). Ms Ulrich received this distinction at the spring graduation ceremony when she was awarded her Certificate in Translation.
