 g justice seminar\, organized by the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Plu
 ralism.\nThis seminar is accredited for 1.5 hours of continuing legal educ
 ation by the Quebec Bar (activity no. 10075381).\nAgenda\nThe inclusion an
 d empowerment of persons with disabilities is critical to advancing the de
 velopment agenda. In light of the United Nations’ efforts to create a disa
 bility-inclusive post-2015 development agenda at the upcoming High Level M
 eeting on Disability and Development\, this seminar will provide a forum f
 or discussion of international strategies for achieving equality for perso
 ns with disabilities by implementing a disability perspective in developme
 nt processes. The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (C
 RPD)\, which is both a human rights treaty and a development tool\, provid
 es an opportunity to strengthen developmental policies related to the impl
 ementation of internationally-agreed development goals.\nThe seminar will 
 allow participants to reflect on programs and interventions that may begin
  to remove the barriers and increase accessibility in developmental effort
 s.\nAbout the series\nTo explore some of the advances\, challenges\, and q
 uestions\, the CHRLP is pleased to present its 2013-14 seminar series on s
 elected issues of human rights and disability law. The series builds on th
 e themes explored in the CHRLP’s successful 2012-13 seminar series\, entit
 led “Disability\, Human Rights and the Law.” We offer this series to conti
 nue to engage in one of the most compelling human rights issues of our day
 \, consistent with the Faculty of Law’s tradition of analysis\, scholarshi
 p and promotion of human rights and social justice. The events will follow
  the format of a teaching seminar and required resources will be circulate
