 netics in the Ukraine. He is currently in\nthe second year of his Master’s
  in the Bioresource Engineering\nDepartment.\n\n\nItem 2: Shiva Ladan\nBio
 remediation with Kale\n\nHeavy metal pollution in soil is a significant en
 vironmental\nproblem due to their negative effects on human health and\nag
 riculture. For example\, arsenic (As) is highly toxic and is\ncarcinogenic
 . Thus\, its remediation from contaminated soils is\nnecessary. A pot-cult
 ure greenhouse experiment was conducted to\ninvestigate the impact of two 
 inoculants of fluorescent\npseudomonades bacteria to measure their influen
 ce on\nremediation.\n\nShiva Ladan is currently working on her PhD in Bior
 esource\nEngineering under the supervision of Dr. Prasher.\n\n\nItem 3: Mo
 hammed Bakari\nPyrolysis of Biomass\n\nBiomass is increasingly becoming an
  attractive source of energy\nbecause of its renewability\, abundance and 
 sustainability.\nPyrolysis is a thermochemical process that reduces biomas
 s to\ngaseous\, liquid and solid alternative fuels. The objective of this
 \npresentation is to discuss the effect of temperature and holding\ntime o
 n the pyrolysis process.\n\nMohammed is currently working on his PhD in Bi
 oresource Engineering\nunder the supervision of Professor Ngadi.\n\n\nItem
