 is looking for qualified\nindividuals to join the Policy Group at National
  Defence\nHeadquarters in Ottawa.  Policy officers are hired as\nfull-time
  indeterminate employees.  As part of our development\nprogramme\, we plac
 e a strong emphasis on training and challenging\npolicy officers with dema
 nding 12-month working assignments. \nThere are also many opportunities to
  travel as part of regular work\nassignments\; short-term assignments abro
 ad and 12-month postings\nwith other departments are also available.\n\nId
 eal candidates will:\n•    Have an interest in national and international
 \ndefence and security issues\;\n•    Demonstrate strong analytical and wr
 iting\nabilities\;\n•    Be capable of articulating sound policy advice\nb
 oth orally and in writing\; and\,\n•    Be team players who handle tight d
 eadlines and\,\nat times\, significant pressure.\n\nCandidates must have a
  master’s degree and be proficient in English\nor French.\n\nA representat
