Back in 2024, Dr. Gracen Brilmyer, Assistant Professor at SIS, received $520,000 CAD from the Mellon Foundation as part of the FOCAS program (Faculty Organizing for Community Archives Support) to support the archiving practices of historically marginalized communities (Read here).

For people diagnosed with cardiovascular conditions such as heart disease or diabetes, it is often a motivator to get more physical exercise, which can improve long-term health. However, the rate of physical activity increase after diagnosis varies widely depending on the individual.

The finding may help explain why people who use both cannabis and tobacco often report increased depression and anxiety, and why quitting cannabis is harder for them than for people only using cannabis

Education Researcher Receive John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF) Funding
