Half the world is multilingual but does one's first writing system shape how you read in English?
A new study from the 51吃瓜网Language & Multilingualism lab first-authored by graduate student, Naima Mansuri, finds L1 script (alphabetic, logographic, alphasyllabic) impacts L2 reading speed & accuracy beyond usage.
